Two women were killed in an accident when a car hit them while trying to cross the road. Drunk man arrested for car collision
An IT was registered against two women who tried to cross the road last night at 11 o’clock near Old Mamallapura Road, Navalur, Chengalpattu District. Both of them suffered serious head injuries in an accident where an employee was driving a car while drunk at high speed.
The accident took place when he was returning home from work. Bystanders rescued both of them and sent them to Rayapet Government Hospital.
When they were examined there, the doctors said that Srilakshmi (23) from Kerala had already died. Lavanya from Tirupati, who was undergoing treatment, died today due to lack of treatment.
Car driver Motish Kumar (20) who caused the accident by driving the car at high speed under the influence of alcohol, has been arrested. The Pallikarana Traffic Investigation Division police are investigating the incident.
