SEBI said that he had shared with NSE’s business plans, stock market ups and downs forecasts and that he had been paid for this.

SEBI has fined Chitra Ramakrishna Rs 3 crore and former CEO Ravi Narain and Anand Subramaniam Rs 2 crore each for violating the rules. NSE disciplinary officer VR Narasimhan was fined Rs 6 lakh for failing to curb the scam.
