UAB “Kosmelita” launched the Dorall Exotic Vanilla women’s cosmetics set, which consisted of body lotion (50 ml), eau de parfum (100 ml), eau de parfum (10 ml) and shower gel (50 ml).
The ingredient list of the kit contained the chemical Butylphenyl Methylpropional, which is included in the list of prohibited substances in cosmetic products according to EU legislation regulating cosmetic products. After assessing the circumstances established during the investigation, VVTAT fined the company EUR 1,700.
The same prohibited substance, which can cause an allergic skin reaction and irritation, was found in the conditioner for long hair “Basler” Professional Langes Haar Spülung Après marketed by UAB “Olansija”. Accordingly, a notice is issued to the company.
UAB “Juara” offered the face cream with rose extract “NATURA HOUSE PURA NATURA SEMPLICEMENTE ROSE GESICHTCREME” on the market, which contained the banned substance Hydroxyisohexyl 3-Cyclohexene Carboxaldehyde.
The latter prohibited substance, which is an aromatic allergen that causes an allergic skin reaction, is also found in the company’s marketed perfume “DR.TAFFI ACQUA DI BOLGHERI La Rosa” and the perfume for men “DR.TAFFI ACQUA DI BOLGHERI Uomo”.
The company also marketed the Coccine Silky Fresh leg silk spray, which contained the aforementioned banned substance Butylphenyl Methylpropional. After assessing the circumstances established during the investigation, VVTAT fined the company 400 euros.
UAB “VARLE” put on the market a hair mask with aloe vera and a lifting eye gel, which contain the prohibited substance cyclotetrasiloxane, which is related to toxic effects on reproduction, can harm fertility and cause long-term harmful effects on aquatic life. After evaluating the circumstances established during the investigation, VVTAT imposed a fine of 1400 euros on the company.
Consumers who have purchased these dangerous products are encouraged not to use these products, contact the seller, return the purchased goods and get a refund.
