Sports announcer Kim Min-a (41) revealed her feelings about her belated divorce.

Kim Min-a wrote on Instagram on the 6th, “That’s how it is. It was hard to just say it casually,” and “No one around me asked, and those who knew pretended not to know for a long time.” She added, “It takes exactly this long for all the comments and reactions to not feel like arrows,” and “I think people are forgiving of the fact that it takes a long time for them to respond with, ‘Why are you only talking about the past now? ‘ I’m just living hard like I always have.”

On this day, the news of Kim Min-a’s divorce was belatedly revealed. She married a golf businessman of the same age in 2014, and got divorced in 2019, five years later. Kim Min-a told a media outlet, “We got divorced due to personality differences. I just missed the right time to reveal it, I never hid it on purpose.” She continued, “I learned how to manufacture products while I was resting. I’m making baseball and golf-related products. I’m in my 40s and it feels like a new life has begun, so I’m excited every day. I plan to work hard with the sincerity I used to meet viewers every day.”

Kim Min-a joined MBC Sports Plus as an announcer in 2007. She was called the ‘Baseball Goddess’ while hosting ‘Baseball Tonight Ya’ and ‘The Man Who Reads Baseball’. She moved to SBS Sports in 2014 and completed her contract in June 2022. Last year, she was in charge of the SBS Golf 2 national special talk show, and returned as an MC for SPOTV’s ‘Spotime Baseball’ in May of this year.
