Amala Paul has earned his place in South Indian cinema with only a few films. The new film Cadaver, in which the actor will play the central role, is gearing up for release.
In an interview given to Film Companion regarding the promotion of the film, Amala talks about the challenges she faced during the shooting of the film.
In Cadaver, Amala plays the role of Bhadra, a police forensic surgeon. Amala Paul says that she had to go to the mortuary to learn about this character and to go deep into the character and those experiences changed her.
‘There was no other option but to go to the morgue to learn about the character. Because we all have experience with the characters like teacher, doctor, girlfriend, wife etc. in our daily life, so it is easy to learn.
But Bhadra in Kadavar is not like other characters, he is a character that I am not familiar with at all. Therefore, their lives, routines and activities will be different. Their courage to do post-mortem must be admitted, their very lives are surrounded by dead bodies,’ says Amala.
Amala added that there are even staff who sleep inside the mortuary, which shows their lives.
And that it was necessary for him to go through the situation to understand them deeply. Amala said that the experience was one of the most valuable and inspiring in her life.
Earlier, in the first look poster of the film, the crew had released a picture of Amala Paul sitting next to the body and eating in the morgue. The poster has become a topic of discussion on social media.
Amala is also making the cadaver. In response to a question about it, Amala said that since she was entering the field of film production for the first time, she had no idea about it, and that her entry into this field was like destiny.
