“It was very hard, emotionally”: María Becerra suffered an ectopic pregnancy

The Argentine singer, Maria Becerra, revealed that she had a hard time after undergoing a surgery because of a ectopic pregnancy.

On September 5, María de los Ángeles Becerra, better known as María Becerra, announced through her IG account that she underwent surgery because she was experiencing an ectopic pregnancy (which happens when the pregnancy grows outside of your uterus, usually in the fallopian tubes).

In her post, which she accompanied with an image of herself in a hospital bed with her partner Juli, the singer explained that the process she underwent has been very hard, as she and her partner were eager to be parents and have a baby, which they do not rule out having in the future, because “they have plenty of love and a whole life ahead of them.”

However, it was also complicated due to the unexpected symptoms that he had and which were the ones that revealed what he was going through; however, after prompt attention, everything went well and his health was not compromised.

“It was an unexpected moment, I felt very strong pains in my abdomen after finishing yesterday’s rehearsal and we went to the emergency room where we both found out that the pregnancy was ectopic and with hemorrhage. […] Fortunately, the incredible medical team and the support of our closest family and friends helped us feel strong and in good hands.”

On the other hand, the interpreter of “El amor de mi vida” indicated that she decided to speak out about what happened before false news circulated in this “very delicate moment”, and to detail that despite everything she is fine and that she will return to her activities little by little as the doctors recommended.

She also thanked her family, friends and loved ones for their messages of support.

“Thank you for your messages of support, they really mean a lot to us. We send you a big hug.”
