Former Australia captain Ricky Ponting told a news conference that Virat Kohli’s decision was “very bad”.

“Bad form has come at some point in everyone’s life. Virat Kohli has not had bad form for the last 10 to 12 years, but he is tired of the recent IPL series, which he has to fix mentally and practically. What I know from my experience is that Virat Kohli deceives himself that he is not tired, that he thinks he is not physically and mentally exhausted, and that he is making efforts and exercises to correct his bad form. It’s worth noting that Ricky Ponting said that all of that would not fix the problem and that it would take more than two days for you to understand it.
