«Vermiglio», Maura Delpero will have honorary citizenship of Vermiglio
A large and warm audience attended the screening of the film «Vermiglio», which took place today in Vermiglio, in Piazza Giovanni XXIII; an event organized by the Municipality of Vermiglio in collaboration with Trentino Film Commission which supported the film.
At the end of the screening, Mayor Michele Bertolini announced that director Maura Delpero will be awarded honorary citizenship, a decision that will be made official by the Municipality in the coming days.
This is the second work by Maura Delpero; in recent days the film won the Silver Lion – Grand Jury Prize at the 81st Venice International Film Festival.
Today the preview for the community in Vermiglio. Tomorrow, Sunday 15 September, in Trento, the screening is scheduled at 18:15 at the Cinema Vittoria, already sold out, and at the end the speech by the director.
In addition to the director, many authorities attended today’s meeting, including the mayor of Vermiglio Michele Bertolini, the regional councilor Carlo Daldoss and the president of the autonomous province of Trento Maurizio Fugatti.

«This film tells the story of a mountain territory, characteristic of our Trentino, with its environmental beauty but also with the difficulties and difficult moments of living in the mountains.
«A film that talks about Vermiglio and Trentino, that achieves these results and will be able to achieve others, brings the image of our community outside Trentino, which is hardworking and knows how to live its territory and make it grow.
«Thanks go to the collaboration with the Film Commission which has been important: we must commit ourselves to growing activities like this because then the results come.»
The screening was followed by a party in the square with music by Cantori da Vermei and the Ossana-Vermiglio Band
