Sony has renewed the movement of the last generation and has announced a new hypervitaminized version of its current home console. The result? PlayStation 5 Pro, which within two months, specifically on November 7, will hit the stores; and it will do so by offering a better performance than the basic PS5 which, however, will continue to be compatible with all the games released until the end of the generation.
“We developed the PS5 Pro with the most dedicated gamers and creators in mind, as many have asked for a console that runs high-fidelity graphics with smooth frame rates at 60 FPS. “We achieved this in the PS5 Pro with several key performance features,” said Hideaki Nishino, director of Sony’s platform business group, in a recent statement on the company’s blog.
The device, that arrived in Spain with a price (yes, you read correctly) of 800 eurosadds an advanced GPU that will allow games to run more on the device. Likewise, ray tracing, key in the current generation and which significantly improves image lighting, takes a step forward. Among the improvements is also the arrival of Boost Pro Game Boost PS5 technology designed to improve the graphics of PS5 and PS4 games, because the device is still compatible with titles from the previous generation. “This feature may stabilize or improve the performance of supported PS4 and PS5 games. Enhanced image quality for PS4 games is also available to improve resolution in select PS4 games,” said Nishino.
The PS5 Pro will also launch with the latest wireless technology, Wi-Fi 7, in areas that support this standard. VR and 8K games are also supported. The memory will be 2 TB, the capacity is not bad at all.
The technology company, in turn, has indicated that several games will receive patches with free software updates so that players can use the features of the PS5 Pro will be identified with a symbol that will say ‘PS5 Pro Enhanced’ within their title.
