Kim Ho-cheol, the IBK Industrial Bank manager and the oldest coach in the V-League and a former ‘famous setter’ who played in the Italian Pro League during his active years, gave advice to Lee Woo-jin (19, Vero Valli Monza), who has advanced to the Italian league.

Coach Kim will make a special appearance as a KBSN Sports commentator at the 2024 Korea-Italy Men’s Volleyball Global Super Match Suwon, held at Suwon Gymnasium on the 7th and 8th.

Coach Kim, who gained a reputation as the best setter in the Italian league during his active years, is well-versed in Italian volleyball as he has also led Italian clubs as a coach.

Last year, outside hitter Woojin Lee, who is 195cm tall, went straight to the Italian league right after graduating from high school and received a lot of attention. Woojin Lee’s entry also had a significant impact on this Super Match.

Coach Kim Ho-cheol, who welcomed Lee Woo-jin’s advancement to the Italian league, said, “I hope Lee Woo-jin will learn a lot as he advances to the most active Italian league in the world,” and “I hope he will become a role model for Korean volleyball.”

Regarding his role as special commentator, he said, “The match against an Italian club team will provide new enjoyment to domestic fans,” and “I will do my best to convey the Monza team’s style with power and speed.”

KBSN Sports will broadcast the 2024 Korea-Italy Men’s Volleyball Global Super Match live at 1:50 PM on the 7th and 5:50 PM on the 8th.
