It is the tenth day of competition at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games and the field is prepared for the Charlie’s Angels of the Italian Paralympic athletics, fresh from a great day yesterday thanks to the gold of Assunta Legnante in the shot put.

Saturday 7th September it’s the turn of the women of the 100m T63, that is the Italian flag bearer Amber Sabatini together with Martina Caironi (already silver in the long jump) and Monica Contrafattothe three medalists of Tokyo 2020 on an all-Italian podium.

But they won’t be the only protagonists of the Italian team competing at the Stade de France: in the men’s field we will also see Maxcel Head Man in the 200m T64, after the silver won in the 100m, together with Fabio Bottazzini.

The day opens with Paralympic judo, with the debut of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic bronze medalist, Carolina Coastin the women’s +70kg class. Among the men, however, it will be up to Valerio Romano Theodori e Simone Cannizzaro.

It will be the last Parisian appointment for the other Italian flag bearer, Luke Mazzoneinvolved in the H1-5 mixed team relay of Paralympic cycling.

Following this, the Paralympic canoe races, the individual freestyle dressage finals for Paralympic equestrianism, the team épée events (both men’s and women’s), Paralympic fencing and Para powerlifting.

Finally, the Paralympic swimming is unmissable, with the Arena La Défense pool having already set a record for gold medals for Italy. Five of these will also be competing on the last day of competitions in the pool: Stephen Raimondi in the 200m medley SM10, Antonio Fantin nei 100m dorso S6, Alberto Amodeo in the 100m butterfly S8, Monica Boggioni e Giulia Ghiretti in the 200m medley SM5.
