Inside the Advanced Billion-Dollar Talks
Bumble’s shares soared by almost 50% on Monday after reports it is in advanced talks to be bought for around $1bn (£757m).
Technology investment firm Ithaca may reveal a deal to acquire the Texas-based company by the end of the week, as reported by the Wall Street Journal.
The jump in Bumble’s shares pushed its stock market valuation to over $580m.
This amount remains significantly lower than the over $14 billion it achieved following its Nasdaq listing in 2021.
The BBC has contacted Bumble and Ithaca for comment.
