Confirming it, the president of the country’s board, Ramesh Raja, criticized who will watch the 2023 World Cup in which their team will not participate. In this case, the 3rd match of the completed Test series against England was attended by ICC Chief Executive Officer Jeff Allertice.
It has been reported that the Pakistan board did not inform the ICC officials that they cannot send their team to India to participate in the 2023 World Cup. In a recent interview, a Pakistani administration official who attended the meeting said that Ramesh Raja spoke only to retaliate for India.

“The Pakistan board has not taken any decision about not sending their team to India for the World Cup. Ramesh Raja assured the ICC officials that we are not in favor of boycotting a big series like the World Cup. But the Pakistan board had to retaliate as cricket relations between the two countries soured. It is only then that he pressured to send the Indian team to the Asia Cup.”
“Ramis was clear that the pressure should be on, especially at a time when India has already invested a lot for the World Cup. At the same time, he reminded the ICC that Pakistan has got the right to host the next Champions Trophy with the approval of member countries including India. Similarly, if Pakistan boycotts the 2023 World Cup to be held in India, it will not get the share money due from the ICC.
