“Hello Deezer, it seems that an outage has been affecting your application since this morning.” This Sunday morning, users of the online music platform are complaining on social networks: Deezer is down. “It’s as if I had no network even though I’m on 5G with all the bars,” explains an Internet user who calls out to the broadcaster on X.
An observation reported by the site Downdetector which noted, at 11:20 a.m., nearly 920 reports of failure of the second largest music streaming platform in France.
If, at first, Deezer responded vaguely this Sunday morning and acknowledged “encountering a problem accessing” the platform, the French giant ended up announcing at the end of the morning: “We are facing a DDoS attack which causes disruption. » These denial of service attacks are regularly carried out by hackers and aim to prevent access to a site by saturating it with connections.
Contacted, Deezer assures us: “Our team is actively working to remedy this” and apologizes “to all users for the inconvenience caused”.
