The death of a fan during the celebration of the release of Ajith starrer ‘Thuniv’ has been the subject of much discussion. When these kinds of incidents are common when releasing movies of superstars, many people have raised criticism through social media. Now director Lokesh Kanakaraj is telling the fans to behave responsibly.

“It would be better if the fans realize their responsibilities and behave accordingly. It’s just a movie. No need to die for this. It is only for entertainment and they should watch movies happily and return home responsibly. I believe one should not risk his life for celebrations’, Lokesh Kanagaraj responded to the media.

An Ajith fan died near Rohini Theater in Chennai. While dancing, he fell from the lorry and died. He had jumped into a lorry which was moving slowly in front of the theatre. But after dancing, he slipped and fell down. He was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, including his spine, but could not be saved.

On the 11th, the release day of Ajith-Vijay films, there were clashes between fans at several places in Tamil Nadu. Videos of Ajith and Vijay’s fans clashing near Rohini Theater were circulated on social media. In a video tweeted by ANI, flex hoardings outside the cinema theater can be seen being torn down, with people climbing on top of some and trying to move them. The police chased the two groups away and calmed down the situation.
