Tovino Thomas says that he sees language as a necessity, not an ornament. In an interview with Club FM UAE, Tovino said that he has no big claims and is always trying to push the limits.
Earlier in an interview given as part of Minnal Murali’s promotion, Tovino had said that he is not very proficient in English language. Tovino said he doesn’t mind if people make fun of him for this, and that’s their problem. Tovino shared his views on language when the presenter spoke about the incident.
‘It’s not that I don’t know how to speak English. I can communicate. Isn’t that what language needs? Communicating is not enough. What’s wrong with Ronaldo and Messi? Are they deficient? I think that language is not a decoration but a necessity.
Always trying to push my limits. I have no such big claims. I am like this. People will understand that. I am a common man who wanted to act in films. I am at the cinema today. That’s it,’ Tovino said.
‘Life now is like a dream. When I was in school, when there was no guarantee that I would make it to the cinema, I thought of giving interviews. During that time I have asked myself questions and given answers. I never thought of trying to come to the cinema then.
He never told anyone that he wanted to act in films. After studying, I tell my family and girlfriend that I want to be a film,’ added Tovino.
