EXCLUSIVE – Contested since the announcement of the strategic plan and the stock market rout of the title, Bertrand Meunier, chairman of the board of directors of the company, explains.
He has been on the front line since the resignation of CEO Rodolphe Belmer, announced the same day as the strategic plan that will split Atos into two by the end of 2023. Bertrand Meunier, Chairman of the Board of Atos, has come under fire from criticism from some shareholders since the stock market massacre. It has fallen by 60% since the presentation of the plan supposed to relaunch the French group on June 14.
This plan provides for the separation of Atos’ activities into two separate listed companies. On the one hand, an entity (which will keep the name of Atos) will bring together the historical activities of outsourcing, in other words the management of the IT infrastructures of companies and the data centers. On the other hand, a new company, called Evidian, will bring together digital activities (cloud, artificial intelligence, internet of things, decarbonization) and cybersecurity (big data & security, BDS).
