North Korea this week launched a series of missile strikes in the waters off Japan and the South Korean Sea, in defiance of joint military exercises between the US and South Korea.

At one point, Japanese people were advised to evacuate their homes and underground areas, fearing a missile attack in the Sea of Japan.
In response to North Korea’s missile attack, South Korea launched its own missile attack.
And on Thursday, November 3, North Korea launched a suspected new type of intercontinental ballistic missile, but the South Korean military said it may have failed.

US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said in a meeting with South Korean Defense Minister Lee Jong-sup that any attack, including a nuclear strike or non-strategic nuclear strikes, by the US and its allies is unacceptable and is the end of the Kim Jong Un regime.
