In response to this accusation from netizens, Ivan Gunawan spoke up.

This renowned designer has been accused of rejecting to create the wedding dress for Aaliyah Massaid and Thariq Halilintar in order to spare Fuji’s feelings.

“I wasn’t offered anything, nor was I asked for help,” said Ivan Gunawan.

“I don’t even talk to Fuji every day on the phone. Right? What I know is that Thariq has been a pilgrim for 2 months, and I don’t know anything else,” he said.

Meanwhile, Igun confirmed that Reza Artamevia indeed likes to subscribe to designs from him.

However, Igun is reluctant to force Aaliyah and Thariq to also order outfits from him.

“Sometimes netizens mix everything together. In fact, I wasn’t even offered,” he added.

Lastly, Igun revealed that he received an invitation to the couple’s wedding.

Wedding Fashion Trends: Reflections from Ivan Gunawan’s Recent Controversy

TRIBUNTRENDS.COM recently spotlighted the fashion industry when renowned designer Ivan Gunawan addressed allegations surrounding his involvement in creating wedding attire for the marriage of Aaliyah Massaid and Thariq Halilintar. Gunawan firmly stated that he was neither approached for the task nor involved in discussions with other key players like Fuji, shedding light on the complexities behind wedding fashion commitments.

This incident may pave the way for evolving trends in wedding attire design and procurement. As couples seek personalized experiences, the expectation for designers to proactively engage with clients may become more pronounced. Designers might start developing bespoke collections inspired by individual stories, rather than waiting for direct solicitations.

Moreover, as Gunawan noted, the nuances of collaboration in fashion—especially in culturally rich contexts—are significant. This situation invites a conversation about how influencers and designers can coexist without overshadowing one another. Expect to see a rise in partnerships that respect personal bonds while allowing creativity to flourish, emphasizing mutual respect rather than speculation.

With Gunawan confirming attendance at the wedding while clarifying that no offer was made, we may see an increase in the trend of designers attending major events as guests. This allows designers to be part of the narrative without being tethered to expectations of sponsorship or design roles.

Finally, the intersection of social media buzz and wedding planning will likely intensify. Designers will need to navigate public perceptions while maintaining their artistic integrity. The demand for transparency in the design process could grow, with clients looking for more insight into how their wedding attire is created and the story it tells.
