Heura has started the third round of funding “Crowd” and managed to raise more than 2.6 million euros from 3,400 new individual investors in 48 hours since the launch last Friday.
The aim of this new funding round, which will be active through the Crowdcube platform until May 17, is “lead the vegetable protein market at European level, roll out the net positive impact plan and drive technological innovations under various patents», as detailed by the company specializing in food for vegans and vegetarians, which has Bernat Añaños from Girona as one of its founders.
In previous editions (2021 and 2022), Heura managed to raise more than 8 million euros from almost 7,000 investors from all over the world. This “Crowd” campaign, which is being developed in parallel with the “Series B” aimed at large investors, will be the company’s last one aimed at individual citizens after Heura’s forecasts of reaching profitability in Spain this year and globally in 2025.
Heura is present in more than 20 countries, and is currently in a growth phase. The company has increased its turnover by 80% in the last year, going from 17.7 million euros in 2021 to 31.4 in 2022, and currently has an 80% market share in Spain in the “plant-based” product category.
