The Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, is studying and analyzing the regulatory framework for agreements between Russia and the United States in the field of scientific and educational cooperation with a view to their termination or suspension. The Izvestia newspaper writes about this.

Svetlana Zhurova, First Deputy Chairman of the Russian State Duma Committee on International Affairs, reminded the newspaper that the parliamentarians intend to consider all international treaties and determine the expediency of Russia’s participation in various, including scientific, organizations.
The likelihood of Russia withdrawing from various international organizations is high. For example, the need for participation in the OSCE should be reconsidered, but each agreement should be considered by the relevant department, Senator Sergei Tsekov stressed.
Earlier, the Ministry of Education and Science called the Bologna system of education according to the “bachelor’s – master’s” system “a lived stage.” The relevant ministry believes that the rejection of the Bologna system and the transition to a specialist degree will help improve the quality of training.
