These four new songs arrived on the eve of Cole’s 41st birthday.
J. Cole turned 41 today, and last night, he marked the occasion by surprise dropping
BIRTHDAY BLIZZARD ’26, a four-pack of new freestyles hosted by DJ Clue.Available exclusively on Cole’s website for the suggested price of $26, the EP is
slated to land on February 6.
So far, the BLIZZARD track getting the most buzz is “BRONX ZOO FREESTYLE,” on
which Cole addresses the recent public exchanges with Drake and Kendrick Lamar. Cole
famously entered the fray with “7 Minute Drill,” a song he apologized for and removed
from streaming platforms. Here, he admits that his backtracking might’ve cost him a
position at the top, but he thrives on being the underdog.

On the EP, Cole raps over beats from several famous Bad Boy-era NYC rap tracks,
including “Victory,” by Diddy featuring Busta Rhymes and The Notorious B.I.G., and The
LOX’s “Money, Power & Respect.”
