jpnn.comSEOUL – A number of celebrities, including J-Hope BTS, provided assistance to the families of the victims of the Jeju Air tragedy.
The tragedy of the Jeju Air 2216 plane crash which occurred on December 29 2024, rocked South Korea.
According to Channel News Asia’s report, Friday (2/1), South Korea’s Hope Bridge Disaster Relief Association confirmed that J-Hope had donated 100 million won (equivalent to IDR 1.1 billion) to help the victims of the tragedy.
In his official statement, the owner’s real name, Jung Ho-seok, expressed his condolences to the affected families.
“I decided to donate to provide support to the families left behind,” said J-Hope, citing Antaranews, Saturday (4/1).
The fatal accident occurred at Muan International Airport, Muan area, South Jeolla Province, on Sunday, December 29 2024, morning local time.
At that time, the Jeju Air plane carrying 175 passengers and six crew members went off the runway when landing at the airport.
The plane, flying from Bangkok to Muan, caught fire after landing upside down and colliding with a building at the end of the runway.
J-Hope BTS donated 100 million won or the equivalent of IDR 1.1 billion for the victims of the Jeju Air plane tragedy.
