Jabalpur: The city was once again shaken by the sound of a bomb blast. The blast in the junkyard of Adhartal area shook the windows and walls of the nearby houses. A laborer named Raja Chaudhary died due to the explosion in the junkyard. On receiving the information of the explosion, top officials of the police department reached the spot and investigated the incident. A CCTV footage of this incident has also surfaced. According to the information, when this blast happened, most of the workers had gone out to drink tea. On receiving the information of the blast, a huge police force including the SP reached the spot with the bomb squad. According to SP Aditya Pratap Singh, ‘Warehouse owner Kapil Jain and his brother have been arrested. In the initial interrogation, Kapil has told that he had bought the scrap from a contractor in Raipur.

Blast happened in the junk that came from Chhattisgarh
The military scrap from Chhattisgarh was brought to Jabalpur by truck on Wednesday. Labourer Raja Chaudhary was shifting a box full of scrap from one place to another when the blast occurred. The rest of the labourers had gone outside the godown to have tea. On hearing the blast, they reached the spot and informed Kapil Jain by phone. Raja was taken to a private hospital in an injured condition. Here the doctors declared him dead.
Police sealed the warehouse
The police is now contacting the contractor in Raipur. They are also trying to find out how the Army’s defused bombs are being sold in petty contracts. At present, the warehouse has been sealed. Officials of the Central Ordnance Depot in Jabalpur have been called to the spot.
