Dubai: Jaber Mohammed Ghanem Al Suwaidi has been appointed as the UAE Minister of State. UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan issued an order in this regard. Federal Order No. 97 of 2022 will take effect from the date of its issuance, officials said. The decision will be published in the Official Gazette.

Meanwhile, UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan appointed the Director General of Residency and Foreigners Affairs the other day. Major General Sultan Yusuf Abdul Rahman Al Nuaimi has been appointed as the Director General of Residency and Foreigners Affairs.
He will be responsible for drafting policies and other matters related to the entry and residence of foreigners in the UAE. He is also responsible for overseeing the issuance of all types of entry visas and residence permits. He is also responsible for carrying out supervision and field inspection activities in free zones.
