At the CES technology trade fair in Las Vegas from January 7th to 10th, there will be numerous innovations from the electronics and automotive sectors to see. The novelties ticker.

Whether televisions with high-resolution displays, smart home devices or news from the automotive sector: the CES technology trade fair (originally an abbreviation for Consumer Electronics Show) in Las Vegas has a wide variety of innovations in store in 2025. We have summarized the most important of them for you.

The manufacturer Jackery presented its new XBC solar roof tiles at CES 2025. The bricks, available in obsidian black and terracotta, achieve an efficiency of 25 percent and can generate up to 170 watts of electricity per square meter. With their curved shape of 150 degrees, they are visually almost indistinguishable from normal roof tiles.

According to the manufacturer, the silicon solar cells, which are only 0.13 millimeters thick, can be mounted with 90 percent of all common fastening systems. They are particularly suitable for roofs where building regulations prohibit classic solar systems or which need to be renovated anyway. Although the energy yield is lower than with conventional solar modules, the bricks offer an alternative for buildings with listed buildings, for example.

Jackery has not yet provided any information on the price or availability of the solar roof tiles.

The smart home manufacturer Eufy has introduced a vacuum cleaner that combines three devices in one. With the help of the included accessories, the Eufy E20 can be transformed into a robot vacuum cleaner, handheld vacuum cleaner or cordless stick vacuum cleaner.

For the first time, Eufy says it is installing a high-performance filter in a removable vacuum robot, which is intended to prevent the dust filter from clogging and enables high suction performance without much maintenance effort.

As a vacuum cleaner robot, the device has a triple laser for obstacle detection, Eufy reports. The brush is also equipped with a detangling function for coiled hair from animals or family members. A self-draining station is also included, which should have a capacity for suction processes of up to 75 days.

The Eufy E20 will be available from February 10th for 549 euros.

Together with its Australian partner Applied EV, Suzuki has presented a battery-powered platform that will take on autonomous transport tasks in city areas. The electric sandwich is said to be ready for series production and is generally delivered without a cabin. Suzuki’s main customers are large fleets from the logistics industry, which can build customized bodies on the so-called “Blanc Robot” depending on the application.

The version on display is a good four meters long, 1.62 meters wide and only 91 centimeters high. The autonomous pack mule should have a speed of 80 km/h and be able to carry up to one ton.

Suzuki says the autonomous platform could help address the global driver shortage in last-mile logistics. In all transport sectors where the tasks of a conventional driver are too boring, dirty, difficult or too dangerous. The Japanese assume that the “Blanc Robot” can be in use up to three times longer than a human-driven transporter.
