BSE Sensex gained 417.20 (0.70%) points in today’s trade.
Nifty gained 119 (0.67%) points against the National Stock Exchange.
Apollo Hospitals, Bajaj Auto, Cipla, Coal India, JSW Steel were not active on the national stock market.
But shares of Adani Port and Special, Asian Paints, Axis Bank, Bajaj Finance and Bajaj Pinserv traded in gains.
Similarly, on the Mumbai Stock Exchange, shares of Asian Pains, Axis Bank, Bajaj Finance, Bajaj Finserv and Bharti Airtel traded in gains.
However Kodak Mahindra Bank (Rs.1840), Mahindra and Mahindra (Rs.1274.55), Maruti Suzuki; (Rs.8947.40), Power Grid Corp (Rs.228.35) and Tata Steel (Rs.112.50) were trading in losses. Current prices of these stocks are given in parentheses.
Mahindra & Mahindra and Maruti Suzuki were the biggest losers. Shares of these two companies fell to Rs 13.85 and Rs 52.05 respectively.
Shares of Bharti Airtel rose by Rs 17.95 (2.55%) to Rs 721.75 on the BSE. Similarly, Axis Bank shares sold at Rs 6.55 (0.86%).
