Big favourite, Shericka Jackson easily dominated the half-lap, finishing seven hundredths off the world record.

Jamaican Shericka Jackson crushed the 200m final of the World Championships in Athletics with the second best time of all time (21.41, 0.1 m/s of wind), seven hundredths of the world record for the American Florence Griffith-Joyner (21.34 in 1988).

Jackson (29), already titled in 2022, beat Americans Gabby Thomas (21.81) and 100m world champion Sha’Carri Richardson (21.92).
