One of the men wounded was the security guard involved in the initial fight.
“Officials explained the fight started inside the restaurant when the suspect shooter fought the security guard before pulling out a gun and started shooting,” a senior official stated during a news conference.
Fortunately, quick action by another security guard prevented further harm. that guard successfully tackled the suspect and held him until law enforcement arrived. The suspect was subsequently taken into custody by JSO officers.
All three victims, who are reportedly in their 20s, were transported to a local hospital for treatment. JSO confirmed that they are currently in stable condition and are expected to make a full recovery.
Investigators are meticulously reviewing surveillance video and conducting interviews with witnesses to establish a thorough understanding of the events leading up to the shooting. At this time, authorities believe the incident to be isolated, meaning it does not appear to be connected to any broader pattern of violence.
The JSO is continuing its investigation and will release further details as they become available. The incident underscores the ongoing challenges faced by businesses and security personnel in maintaining safety and order during late-night hours.
