Victims of hateful and racist comments, the two daughters of Johnny Hallyday and Laeticia, Jade and Joy, spoke in the show “Set à Huit” on TF1 this Sunday.

Two days after the publication of their interview in Paris MatchJoy and Jade, the two daughters of Johnny Hallyday and Laeticia, who spoke for the first time, gave another interview to the show “Sept à Huit sur TF1”, broadcast this Sunday evening.

The two teenagers aged 15 and 19, adopted by the couple in Vietnam, are regularly the target of very violent comments on social networks. “We often get racist comments, like ‘bowl of rice’, ‘go back and eat rice’ or ‘go back to your country'”, explained Jade, the eldest, on camera. “I was once called an Asian prostitute on the streets in Thailand,” Joy added.

“They educated us, they are our parents”

Sometimes the comments go even further, with death threats. “There was some ‘I’m going to cut your dirty throat…’,” Jade said. “Obviously, it’s hurtful when we read them. But afterwards, our parents taught us to ignore it,” said his little sister.

But the most hurtful for the two sisters are probably the messages about their adoption: “As soon as we arrived in this world, with my sister, we always had comments saying that we were not their daughters, that “We were just adopted girls, we weren’t really their daughters actually,” Jade said.

“It’s very hurtful to say that we are not their real daughters. They educated us, they are our parents. It is not because we are not of the same blood that we are not is not their daughters,” added the eldest.

“We have the same name, the same father, but nothing in common”

In their interview with Paris Match, the two teenagers spoke about their relationship with David Hallyday and Laura Smet, the rocker’s two other children, claiming not to have heard from them since their father’s funeral, in December 2017, in Saint-Barthélemy.

“In Saint-Barth, David and Laura made us great promises, assuring us that they would always be there, that we could count on them, that we would see each other often. And then they had barely left that we never heard from them directly again. I experienced it as abandonment,” Jade explained. A “betrayal” for Joy: “After Dad disappeared, we believed that we would have a stronger bond, that it would bring us all closer together. We have the same name, the same father, but nothing in common in the end “.

A quarrel pits the singer’s first two children against Laeticia over Johnny Hallyday’s will and inheritance. After years of battle, an agreement was signed between the different parties in 2020. “We would have liked to share moments with our big brother and our big sister to talk about our father rather than seeing them take us to court while we didn’t do anything to them,” Jade continued. “I don’t think we can ever forgive them.”
