Chennai : The director of the film ‘Jai Bhim’, T.S. Wisdom. Gnanavle said in a statement that he did not expect any opposition to the film. The calendar used to indicate the year 1995 was controversial. The calendar is not deliberately included to discredit any community. This was not noticed after the shooting or during the preview. Otherwise the part would have been removed from the picture earlier. It was changed on the day of its release. The director said in a statement that he regrets the issue.
Gnanavle said it was unfortunate that actor and producer Surya’s name was dragged out on a subject for which the film’s director was solely responsible. Earlier, Vanniyar organizations had come out against Surya in the name of the film.
