The former president of Colombia, Alvaro Uribe Velez wrote through his Twitter account that his lawyer Jaime Granados he will have to leave the country after he was chased by armed men.

“Dr. Jaime Granados had to leave the country because yesterday while he was entering a pharmacy. He was chased by two people on a motorcycle and with weapons,” said the former head of state.

Although it is not yet a fact, the lawyer Granados mentioned that his departure will be soon.

Jaime Granados is the defense lawyer of former president Álvaro Uribe in the case that is being carried out on an alleged manipulation of witnesses.

It should be noted that on May 23, Judge 41 of Bogotá denied the request to preclude the investigation being carried out against Uribe for allegedly having manipulated witnesses.
