Jaishankar Met Ukrainian Foreign Affairs Minister Kuleba In Phnom Penh

The Association of Southeast Asian Nations, also known as ASEAN, is an international organization of 10 member states in Southeast Asia.

It includes Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. This year marks the 30th anniversary of ASEAN-India relations and is being celebrated as ASEAN-India Friendship Year.

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar met Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba at the ASEAN-India Summit in Cambodia’s capital Phnom Penh today. In this meeting, the two leaders also discussed multilateral issues including the war in Ukraine and the threat of nuclear weapons.

Regarding this, Minister Jaishankar said on Twitter, ‘In our discussion we discussed all issues related to Ukraine conflict, global food crisis and nuclear issues, food grain initiatives’.

“We discussed bilateral cooperation and ways to end Russia’s war on Ukraine,” the Ukrainian minister said on Twitter.
