Jal Jeevan Mission Project Work: Union Joint Ministry Inspection at Theni

Central Food Processing Industry and Jal Shakti Department Joint Minister Prakalah Singh Patel conducted an inspection with district government department officials on Thursday at Theni District Collector’s office.

In this research meeting, District Collector K.V. Muralitharan, District Superintendent of Police Praveen Umesh Dongare, Member of Theni Lok Sabha. Rabindranath, District Panchayat Chairman Pritha and Deputy Chairman Rajapandian took the lead.

After this study, the Union Joint Minister told reporters that: All the projects implemented in the states are implemented with 60 percent contribution from the Central Government and 40 percent contribution from the State Government. Under the Jal Jeevan Mission, the work of providing piped water to all the villages is going on.

Under this scheme, drinking water pipe connections have been provided to one lakh 32 thousand 207 households in the rural areas of Theni district. A target of providing pipe connection to 53,108 residences in Andipatti area has been decided and work is in progress. These works will be completed by March 2023.

Under the Prime Minister’s Scheme for Small Food Processing Enterprises, subsidized loans have been provided to 87 beneficiaries in the district so far. Also, the Ministers are conducting a study in all the states regarding the central government’s project activities. There is nothing political about it. Surveys are conducted to ensure that government schemes reach the target beneficiaries. He said that not only the ministers, the secretaries of the government departments are also conducting a continuous review of the project work and the operation of the project.
