jpnn.comJAMBI – Jambi Provincial KPU is socializing the General Election Commission Regulation (PKPU) Number 2 of 2024 concerning the stages of the 2024 Simultaneous Regional Head Election (Pilkada).
The stages of simultaneous regional elections have begun in January 2024 with program and budget planning and will soon enter the stage of forming ad hoc bodies, such as the District Election Committee (PPK) and Voting Committee (PPS).
“The stages have started since January 2024 and are now entering the program and budget planning stages and then the stages that will soon take place, namely the formation of ad hoc bodies, namely the sub-district election committee (PPK) and voting committee (PPS),” said a member of the Provincial KPU Jambi Edison quoted from Antara, Friday.
Recruitment for ad hoc PPK and PPS organizers will begin on April 17, where there will be two schemes, namely evaluation of the old PPK to be used again in the regional elections and the second, namely re-recruitment because the old organizers’ term of service has expired.
“Meanwhile, technically we are still waiting for instructions from the Indonesian KPU,” said Edison, a former member of the Muarojambi Regency KPU.
Meanwhile, another Jambi Province KPU member, Fahrul Rozi, added that the Indonesian KPU has launched simultaneous regional elections in Yogyakarta and now there are 237 days left until the simultaneous regional elections on Wednesday, November 27 2024.
He explained that all districts/cities and provinces in Jambi would hold regional elections.
In the simultaneous regional elections, it is estimated that there will be around 8,000 polling stations with a maximum number of 800 voters in one polling station, but we are still waiting for the DP4 and DPT to be matched.
The Jambi General Election Commission (KPU) has begun socializing the stages of simultaneous regional elections in 2024.
