The film earned $13.3 million on Monday, followed by $16.5 million on Tuesday, according to Box Office Mojo. This 23.9% jump confirms strong holiday attendance. In comparison, the original Avatar earned $16.1 million on its comparable Tuesday, while the Way of Water reached $18.3 million, placing Fire and Ash comfortably between the two.
Tuesday’s numbers also outshone the rest of the market. Zootopia 2, the billion-dollar animated sequel, trailed with $5.4 million. The faith-based animated film David took third place at $4.3 million, while Sydney Sweeney’s thriller, The Housemaid, settled for $3.7 million.
