James Davenport, Beloved Father and Grandfather, Passes Away Peacefully in Dundalk
A pillar of the Quigley’s Point community, James davenport, has died peacefully at his daughter’s home in Lordship, Dundalk. The news of his passing has prompted an outpouring of grief from family, friends, and neighbors.
James is remembered as a devoted family man, deeply cherished by his children and grandchildren.he was predeceased by his wife, Pat Davenport, and is survived by his sons James, Peter, Liam, and Stephen, and also his daughter Ann Patricia.
The family circle is further comprised of his eleven grandchildren: Chloe (who is remembered with the designation RIP), Ana, Lola, Edward, Caitlín, Evan, Emily, Darragh, Méabh, Jamie, and Aaron. His loss is profoundly felt by his siblings Eddie, Kathleen, Martin, John, Susan, and Sarah, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
A statement released by the family expressed their gratitude for the support received during this arduous time. “We are deeply saddened by the passing of James, but find comfort in the many cherished memories we shared,” the statement read.

The funeral will commence from his home on Saturday, January 10th, at 10:00 AM, proceeding to St. Columba’s Church, Drung, for an 11:00 AM Requiem Mass. Following the service, interment will take place in the adjoining cemetery.
