Jamie Foxx Mourns the Loss of Friend Keith Jefferson
In a recent Instagram post, Jamie Foxx expressed his deep sadness over the death of his friend, Keith Jefferson. Foxx, who is also an actor, shared a heartfelt tribute to Jefferson, describing him as a person full of grace and with a pure heart.
Foxx wrote, “this one hurts. Keith, you’ve been nothing but absolute grace, your whole life your heart is pure, your love is immeasurable, you were an amazing soul.” He went on to say that Jefferson will be greatly missed and that the healing process will take time.
The “Ray” star posted multiple pictures of him and Jefferson, reminiscing about the good times they had together. According to Jefferson’s IMDb profile, he and Foxx worked together on two episodes of “The Jamie Foxx Show” in 1998 and 1999. They also collaborated on various projects, including Quentin Tarantino’s “Django Unchained” in 2012 and more recently, “Day Shift” and the upcoming film “The Burial.”
In addition to their shared professional work, Jefferson also appeared in Tarantino’s “The Hateful Eight” in 2015 and “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” in 2019.
The news of Jefferson’s passing comes after he revealed his battle with cancer in August. He expressed gratitude to his loving family and friends, specifically mentioning Foxx in his social media post.
