Jamie Foxx Breaks His Silence After Hospitalization

Award-winning actor and musician Jamie Foxx has spoken out for the first time since his hospitalization in April for an undisclosed medical condition. In an Instagram video update posted on Friday, Foxx addressed the speculation surrounding his hospitalization but did not reveal specific details about what happened.

“I didn’t want you to see me with tubes running out of me and trying to figure out if I was gonna make it through,” Foxx said in the video. He expressed his desire for his fans to see him in a positive light, “laughing, having a good time, partying, cracking a joke, doing a movie, television show.”

Foxx credited his daughter and sister for saving his life, along with the support of medical professionals. “I cannot tell you how great it feels to have your family kick in in such a way,” he stated, expressing gratitude for their unwavering support and protection during his ordeal.

Recent sightings of Foxx in Chicago indicate that he had been undergoing medical treatment at a rehabilitation facility specializing in care for patients with physical impairments, brain, or spine injuries.

Addressing rumors on social media, Foxx assured his followers that his eyes are working fine and he is not paralyzed. He acknowledged that his road to recovery had some challenges but emphasized his commitment to returning and being able to work again.

Foxx concluded the video with a message of love and gratitude towards his fans: “I love everybody and I love all of the love that I got… If you see me out from now on and every once in a while I just burst into tears, it’s just because it’s been tough, man. But now I got my legs under me, so you’re gonna see me out.”

Foxx’s video update comes after he posted a photo of himself on top of a gold car, hinting at “big things coming.”

Fans and well-wishers can now breathe a sigh of relief knowing that Foxx is on the road to recovery and eager to return to his work in the entertainment industry.
