It was the perfect start to marital bliss!
Presenter Jana Azizi (34) tied the knot with triathlete Johann Ackermann (39) in picturesque Croatia last weekend. The two have been officially married since September 9th, but now they crowned their love with a beautiful dream wedding among friends and family on the Adriatic.
In an interview with BILD, the bride now reveals why she said YES in Croatia, what she loves about her Johann and how the two of them want to spend their honeymoon.

The wedding in Croatia
Jana describes the three days on the Adriatic as a “celebration of our lives”, it was “relaxed, so emotional and soulful and incredibly special”. Still completely inspired by the celebration of love, the presenter (including “RTL EXPLOSIV”) enthuses: “We have so many memories that will last forever with our favorite people. It was just a dream.”
The celebrations started in their family restaurant in Split “CIRI BIRI BELA”, then continued “in a wonderful location by the sea in Trogir”.

“My husband, family, friends, dancers, singers, drummers, DJ – a huge celebration of love, trust, eternal connection. “We loved it and we all loved each other,” said the bride, still completely enraptured by the magical weekend. They celebrated their love with around 100 guests.

The time after the big party
Of course, a big topic for fans: What name will Jana moderate under in the future? In her private life, the new wife now bears the name of her lover and is now called Jana Ackermann. However, TV fans don’t have to get used to it: “In public, I’ll remain Jana Azizi.”
And the honeymoon? They’ll have to wait a few more months, but then they’ll be a real adventure! At the end of the year we’re going on a camping holiday to New Zealand. Jana reveals: “We love the adventure and nature in Oceania!”

Newly married is simply the most beautiful thing and Jana reveals: “He is the first man in my life with whom I could imagine my future together.”
What does she particularly love about Johann? “His down-to-earth, sensitive, sporty and loyal nature.” Jana also raves about “how he accepts me and makes me laugh.”
“He caught me from the first second. I’m amazed by our love!”
