Kochi: Prithviraj Suraj Venjaranmoodu’s movie ‘Jana Gana Mana’ which came to ODT after its theatrical success has topped the trending list on Netflix. The film’s producers Prithviraj Productions made the announcement on their social media page. ‘They also shared the poster of the film saying that we are offering an Indian film.
Jana Gana Mana, directed by Dijo Jose Antony and starring Prithviraj Sukumaran, was released on Netflix on June 2. The film is available in Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil and Kannada languages. The Netflix movie was released just after midnight.
Jana Gana Mana is one of the most successful films in Malayalam this year. The film received critical acclaim from the first week for its critical approach to the current political and social situation in the country. It also performed well at the box office. The movie, which hit theaters on April 28, grossed Rs 50 crore in 26 days.
This is a glorious achievement. Jana Gana Mana is the second film of Dijo Jose Antony, who made his directorial debut in 2018 with Queen. The film is written by Sharis Mohammad. Produced by Supriya Menon under the banner of Prithviraj Productions and Listin Stephen under the banner of Magic Frames. The film stars Prithviraj and Suraj Venjaramoodu in the lead roles after their successful theatrical driving licenses.
