The actor confessed that threats from a hacker prompted him to abruptly post “I’m sorry” online before going silent.
A Summer of fear and Financial Ruin
Jang Dong-ju detailed the ordeal began last summer with calls from an unknown number. The caller demonstrated an unsettling knowlege of his movements, quickly followed by the realization that his phone had been entirely compromised. “they knew exactly where I was moving, and my cell phone was completely hacked,” he saeid on a recent broadcast.
Jang Dong-ju also shared examples of messages exchanged with the hacker, including demands like, “Do you think you deleted all the information on your phone?” and “I have all the photo albums, text messages, and call recordings,” along with instructions to install Telegram.
