Jangseong County Governor Kim Han-jong welcomed the final decision on the 19th that the Ministry of SMEs and Startups’ ‘Special Support Areas for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises’ beneficiary areas were Donghwa Agro-Industrial Complex, Donghwa Electronics Agro-Industrial Complex, Samgye Agro-Industrial Complex, and Wolpyeong Jun Industrial Complex.
Governor Kim said, “This special support zone designation will be a great help to small and medium-sized businesses newly entering this densely populated area.”
Jangseong-gun previously analyzed the local industrial and employment conditions, and applied for designation as a special support area for small and medium-sized enterprises after continuous consultation with the central government and Jeollanam-do. Then, the Ministry of SMEs and Startups conducted an on-site inspection on June 21, and based on the materials and inspection results submitted by the county, a deliberation committee meeting was held and the designation as a support area was finalized on the 19th of this month. The designation period is 2 years, and can be extended once within the 2-year range.
Accordingly, small and medium-sized enterprises newly entering the Dongwha Agricultural and Industrial Complex, Dongwha Electronics Agricultural and Industrial Complex, Samgye Agricultural and Industrial Complex, and Wolpyeong Semi-Industrial Complex will be eligible to participate in public bidding through limited competitive bidding and negotiated contracts for directly produced products for the next two years.
National taxes such as corporate tax and income tax, as well as local taxes such as individual local income tax, are also reduced by 50% for five years.
In addition, you will receive preferential treatment when applying for various support projects such as research and development and commercialization support implemented by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups.
Meanwhile, Jangseong-gun support projects that will have a synergistic effect with the designation of special support areas are also drawing attention. The county is carrying out customized support for companies, such as the △industrial and agricultural complex revitalization project, △smart factory distribution and expansion project, △star company fostering project, and △supercritical raw pharmaceutical production platform construction project.
The ‘Industrial and Agro-Industrial Complex Activation Project’, which is being promoted as a pledge of the 8th local government, strengthens the capabilities of small and medium-sized enterprises engaged in manufacturing by supporting the development of new products, improvement of quality of existing products, marketing, and intellectual property rights certification.
The ‘Smart Factory Distribution and Expansion Project’ supports the construction of advanced intelligent smart factories that control the product production process based on information and communication technology.
The ‘Star Company Development Project’ selects promising companies with growth potential and provides support in various ways, including technology development and commercialization.
‘Establishment of a supercritical raw pharmaceutical product production platform’ is a project to build supercritical raw pharmaceutical product production facilities and equipment. It is a raw material extraction production facility that utilizes supercritical fluid that has surpassed the limits of high temperature and high pressure and reached a point where liquid and gas cannot be distinguished, and can obtain high-purity raw pharmaceutical products.
