Jangseong-gun’s spring festival is rich. Jangseong-gun has prepared a festival filled with bright spring flowers, music, and unique experiences.
First, on the 20th and 21st of this month, the ‘Rapeseed Flower Festival’ will welcome visitors in the Sandong-ri area of Jinwon-myeon. The 1.2km rapeseed flower field leading from the village entrance is a famous spot where you can take the photo of your life. Contents planned and created by village residents, such as horseback riding and rape flower experience booths, will also be showcased.
There are many things to enjoy. Events that visitors can participate in, such as Nanta performances, magic shows, balloon art, pumbaa, and on-site karaoke, add to the excitement of the festival.
About a month later, from May 24th to 26th, the representative spring festival, ‘Gildongmu Flower Road Festival’, will begin. This year, it is noteworthy that the site of the old public playground was newly created as the ‘Hwangryong Garden Lawn Square’. A stage is being built in front of the music fountain at the Mulbit Performance Hall, and ‘picnic bleachers’ are being installed in the shape of a fan in the grass plaza. It would be nice to sit leisurely on the lawn and enjoy the performance and the spring scenery of the Hwangryong River. It is a new attempt that combines a ‘picnic’ and a festival.
Colorful spring flowers such as cosmos, poppies, and sunflowers also bloom in abundance. The 3.2km section along the Hwangryong River is colored with bright spring flowers, creating a spectacular sight.
The ‘camp + picnic’ concept, which received great praise at last year’s Hwangnyong River Fall Flower Festival, will also be continued. This year, we are planning a ‘Book Campnic’ where we will provide a variety of books so that people can freely enjoy reading anywhere.
The change that attracts the most attention is the ‘Music Festival’. On the weekend of the 25th, from afternoon to night, performances by various musicians will delight your ears. In the long term, we plan to foster the concept of a ‘music festival’ in which world-class musicians participate as the core brand of the Gildongmu Flower Road Festival.
