jpnn.com – NEW YORK CITY – Jannik Sinner (Italy) won his second grand slam title after defeating Taylor Fritz (USA) in the 2024 US Open final at Arthur Ashe Stadium, New York City, Monday (9/9) early morning WIB.

The world number one previously won her first grand slam at the 2024 Australian Open.

Sinner became the first Italian to lift the trophy in New York, with a 6-3, 6-4, 7-5 win over Fritz.

“This title means a lot,” Sinner said.

“My career has not been easy, but I have a team and family that support me.”

“I love tennis, but there is life outside the court and I want to dedicate this trophy to my aunt because she is sick and I don’t know how much longer she will be in my life,” added the 23-year-old.

Fritz, the world number 12, is trying to become the first American since Andy Roddick to win the US Open in 2003.

However, Sinner is more powerful.

The 2024 US Open title is Jannik Sinner’s second grand slam title after the 2024 Australian Open.
