Jannik Sinner defeated the American Taylor Fritz in three sets and claimed the last Grand Slam by lifting the trophy at the US Open. This result secures the Italian at the top of the ATP ranking, but also allowed him to pocket a significant sum of money.
It’s worth noting that the tournament organization awarded a record sum compared to last year in this edition. A total of 75,000,000 million dollars was distributed, reflecting a 15.38% increase compared to 2023.
For winning the decisive match, Sinner pocketed 3,600,000 million US dollars. In the women’s draw, Aryna Sabalenka, who was crowned champion, also received the same amount.
