Jannik Sinner never stops and reaches the final in Washington: it is the first time in an ATP 500 tournament – Sport

Jannik Sinner plays great tennis and in Washington beats the host Jenson Brooksby in two sets, surprise of the tournament. 7-6 6-1 the result in favor of the South Tyrolean, who thus wins the first career final in an ATP 500. He will challenge the American Mackenzie McDonald who beat the Japanese Kei Nishikori with a score of 6-4, 3-6 , 7-5.

On the closing day of the Olympics, Sinner can therefore win the US tournament, thus responding to those who had criticized him for the decision not to participate in the Tokyo Games but to focus on improving his game, a choice that – net of any consideration – it has evidently paid off.
