On January 1, the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) reports 26,392 new cases of Covid-19 infection, which is less than the previous day (41,240). There were 184 corona deaths per day. The nationwide 7-day incidence increased to 220.3 (214.9). 71.1 percent of the German population was fully vaccinated against Covid-19.
