On January 13, the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) reports 81,417 new cases of Covid-19 infection, up from the previous day (80,430). There were 316 deaths from the corona per day. The nationwide 7-day incidence increased to 427.7 (407.5). More than 72.2 percent of the German population was fully vaccinated against Covid-19.
Since the start of the pandemic, 7,743,228 cases of the virus have been identified in Germany. This means that the number of cases in comparison with the previous day increased by 81,417 cases. In total, 115,051 people have died as a result of the Covid-19 disease since the start of the pandemic.
The data is based on a statement by the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), which receives information from the German regional health authorities. They provide updated information several times a day. Since reporting speed varies by region, there may be deviations and fixes as a result of late reporting. In addition, there are frequent delays in the display of data for individual federal states, especially after weekends and holidays.
