Today, Tuesday, the President of the Supreme Council of State, Dr. Muhammad Takala, met with a number of dignitaries and elders of the city of Janzour, at the Council’s headquarters in Tripoli.
The delegation of dignitaries and elders affirmed their support for the decision of the Supreme Council of State to reject the general budget for the year 2024 AD, which was approved by the House of Representatives.
The President was also briefed on their efforts in the national reconciliation file and establishing justice to achieve stability in the region through civil efforts and cooperation with the relevant authorities.
In the same context, the Chairman of the Political Affairs Committee of the Supreme Council of State, Dr. Abdulaziz Hariba, accompanied by a number of members of the committee, met today, Tuesday, with the Political Advisor at the British Embassy in Libya, Nicolette Baker, at the headquarters of the Council’s office in Tripoli.
During the meeting, the latest developments in the Libyan political process and the efforts made to find a way out of the political impasse were discussed, by urging the Libyan parties to reach an agreement. The meeting also touched on discussing regional and international situations and their impact on Libyan political affairs.
